MoonTree 47

Cozy alternative little cafes are sprouting out all over Penang these days. Audrey has been bragging about this place for longest time and today I finally have the luxury of time to visit it.

The whole cafe is kampung heritage theme to reflect Georgetown status. Standard seats are available in the shop front, with staircase in the middle to access the guest room on 2nd floor. The bar in smacked right under the staircase where a range of alcohol and coffees are available. Crossing over the bar is he backyard garden and kitchen. The weather was not too hot so Audrey and I decided to sit at the garden.
First to cool off, ice coffee with vanilla ice cream. Delicious!
Audrey ordered the Turkish kebab, which was served with potato chips wrapped and banana orange as compliment - kind of weird combo - but the taste is good. The wrap reminds Audrey of the time she was traveling to Turkey but to Kate, it was just Indian spices.
Ordered another drink to cool off the heat - ice lemon juice. It's refreshing and thirst quenching.
House Salad - the dressing is home made. Very special blend of herbs and vinegar concoction prepared by the lady chef, aka owner, who have travelled extensively herself. The sauce sort of reflect her conversation with us where she picked up a few cooking tips / culture from all over the world. Audrey even mentioned she has a Turkish "boyfriend".
Greek salad - nice and simple just a splash of balsamic vinegar.
The perfect way to end a meal with coffee & cream.
