Lobster meal at Dragon-i

One last wish of bro was to have lobster, which is the reason why we stepped into Dragon-i for their latest promotion of all lobster meal, coincide with the meat dumpling season - “龙粽”登场. Priced at RM138++ per pax, minimum 2 pax dining.

As the lobster dishes will take sometime to prepare, we order some side dish to munch first. First up is stir-fried carrot cake. The serving is generous with giant prawns and lots of bean sprout which is the way mom likes.
We ordered also the long bean stir-fry with XO sauce. It is on the top 10 recommended signature dish at Dragon-I. Personally I like this dish too and give it 8 out of 10.
Since the lobster meal is without any green vegetable, we ordered a Hong Kong Kai Lan with oyster sauce, just trying to be healthy and eat our greens. Hahaha...
The entree of the lobster meal package finally came after 20 minutes wait - Shanghainese Dumplings with Lobster Filling. Very strong lobster taste, the soup inside the dumpling was piping hot and the skin of the dumpling is so thin and soft that if one is not skillful in lifting up the dumpling, the delicious soup might spill and get wasted. Don't say you haven't been warned ;)
While waiting for the other dishes to be served, we sipped on our drinks. They are delicious but dearly priced in my opinion. Mom ordered the chilled lemon grass with cane sugar.
 I ordered the Amarth tea.
Seaweed fried rice with pine nut. Mom sworn it was good the last time she tried it. I felt the dish is a tad too oily with the fishy seaweed odour which is not my cup of tea.
Fried La Mian with Lobster Tail. The "lobster" is really giant prawns in this dish. No lobster flavour or whatsoever. Nonetheless, the sauce is pretty good and Max finished the whole plate.
Spice Salted Lobster Head and Claws. The worst of the lot, mainly because it's lobster head and claws which contains the least meat and furthermore the parts are deep fried which shrink the meat to non-existence.
Lobster Meat with Ginger & Spring Onions. The best of the lot. The meat is succulent and the sauce is bland which is just nice to bring out the lobster flavour. The course ended with Double Boiled Logan with Snow Fungus, I didn't take the photo as I was too jelat from the over-whelming lobster flavours.

Will I come back again for the all lobster meal? Definitely a No-No, but I will return for the other dishes that Dragon-i offers.
