Nasi Malayu at Teluk Bahang

I am never a fan of Nasi Malayu as the main staple is rice, a commodity that I don't eat if given a choice. Secondly, majority of the dishes are deep fried. Thirdly, there is almost never any vegetable dish being offered as an option. So when Audrey suggested going up to Teluk Bahang for Nasi Malayu, you can just imagine my unwillingness! To my surprise and delight, this stall by the roadside offers a huge variety of dishes. On top of the usual oily and meaty dishes, they also have gado-gado salad, pineapple curry, tofu curry and green vegetables. I happily scooped all these alternative dishes plus a chicken drum stick cooked in dark sweet sauce as bonus. Otherwise the aunty will surely scold me for not taking any meat!

This is la-la (clam) dish that Audrey's mom insists MUST TRY. I think the key factor for it being good is coz the clams are fresh.
