I have been to this seafood porridge place at Bayan Lepas since a child. The chef has changed from the father to the sister, to the sister-in-law, to the son, and to the son-daughter-in-law etc. Nonetheless, the taste remains authentic and is one of my all time favourite shop, albeit for the long queue during peak period.
I ordered silver pomfret porridge which was served with a pork-based soup and the rice was boiled in the soup till the grain broke. The fish flavour sipped out further flavouring the soup to perfection. To top it off, preserved vegetable and fresh shallots are sprinkled on top, served with fresh chopped chilli padi. Hmmmmmm.... yummy!
Sis and Max ordered prawn porridge and they used big head prawns which are filled with the gooey good stuff. The soup was ultra flavorsome and I decided to pack my pomfret porridge in exchange for Max's porridge since he ate so much durians that he hardly touched his porridge.
